Privacy

What we collect, why, who handles it, and how our text messages work.

What we collect

  • Parent/guardian names, email addresses, mobile numbers and mailing addresses.
  • Dancer names, birth dates, class enrollments, attendance and class history.
  • Billing records: tuition charges, payments, credits and balances. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's pages and stored by Stripe; we never see or keep full card numbers.
  • Messages you send us through the website, such as free-lesson requests and enrollment requests.

How we use it

  • To run classes: schedules, attendance, cancellations and performance information.
  • To bill tuition and fees and keep accurate account records.
  • To send studio emails and, if you opt in, text messages.
  • Newsletter emails go only to people who signed up or are enrolled families who haven't unsubscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing never stops essential emails about your dancer's classes.

Who else handles it

  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Amazon Web Services hosts this website and its data, and delivers our emails and text messages.
  • Plausible Analytics counts visits to our public pages (which pages, where visitors came from, device type and country) without cookies and without identifying anyone. Family account, enrollment and staff pages are never counted.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Text messages

  • We text only numbers whose owners opted in, on our enrollment form, their preferences page or when registering with the studio.
  • Texts cover class reminders, schedule changes and account notices. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts from us; reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help.
  • Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Cookies

  • We use only the cookies needed to keep staff and families signed in. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking, and our visit counting uses no cookies.
